University History Project graphic designer Christian Hill (last on the right) is abroad this month with the UWG Department of History and, by the looks of it, having a great time! Last year, Christian designed the panels for our UWG sports and leisure exhibit. We can't wait to see what she and our UWG counterculture curators come up with this year.

Our conference "usie" from the American Theological Library Association's annual meeting! Today Julia Brock and Tigner Rand were part of a panel on community archiving organized by Shanee' Murrain, assistant professor and University Archivist in UWG's Special Collections. Julia and Tigner spoke about the creation of the Antioch A.M.E. Digital Archive, and Shanee' framed the panel by introducing post-custodial archival theory (wherein historic "stuff" remains in the hands of the community that created it) as well as how digital collections are used by communities.
